This Roomba is classified as one of the best vacuums available. It is the most powerful AI obstacle-avoidance system of any vacuum we've ever tested. It also comes with a mopping mechanism with dual rubber brushes, which are less likely to cause tangles than bristle brushes.

It utilizes random navigation (or bumps) instead of the vSLAM. This is more time-consuming, but ensures that every room is cleaned. It also has a remarkable battery life and works effectively on hardwood and carpet flooring.

1. Roomba i3+ EVO

The i3+ EVO has a sleek matte gray top that looks like fabric and reduces fingerprints. Smart mapping technology creates a map of your home using advanced sensors. This makes it easier to clean rooms and stay clear of obstacles. You can also alter your cleaning preferences using the iRobot app, which gives recommendations based on your home and the seasons (like running it more frequently during allergy season). The high-efficiency filter of the robot can trap 99 percent of allergens, such as dust mites, mold hair of cats and dogs and pollen. It also comes with edge-sweeping and cliff sensors as well as four brushes (including two long, multi-surface brushes as well as one side brush) and floor trackers to keep the robot on its designated path.

During our testing the i3+ EVO was capable of cleaning our floors quickly and efficiently. It easily transitioned from carpet to rugs and back, and it didn't have much trouble going over the wooden or metal trim that separates different flooring types. It did bump into some items, including handbags, pet toys and shoes, but was able to navigate around them. It missed a few dirt spots on the carpet, but it did pick up pet hair from other places.

The i3+ EVO is a good choice for homes with carpets, but isn't up to the task when it comes to picking up crumbs and other debris. It struggles to vacuum pet hair from carpets and could not be an ideal choice for those who want their robot to completely replace their vacuum cleaner. It also lacks the superior obstacle-avoiding capabilities of the top Roombas, such as the J7+ and S9+, which could make it more likely to fall into pet waste and spread it across flooring.

2. Roomba J7+

This is among the top robot vacuums for those with a mix of hard carpet and hard. Its best feature is its obstacle detection, which cleverly eludes things like cords, furniture legs, and even pet waste. It is also very good in cleaning hard floors and also picking up hairs that are stuck in the brush.

In contrast to other robots, unlike many other robots, Roomba j7+ can adjust its suction power. This is done via the app. It also has a good map editor, and a section for favourites. The j7+ is also pretty quiet, especially when you have a higher-end flooring option and it does a great job of keeping up with manual vacuuming.

As is the norm, iRobot's top-of-the-line bots tend to perform better than the lower-end models. In our tests, we observed that the J7+ could clean more dirt off hard and carpeted surfaces. It also cleaned better in crevices. The only issue was that it performed less well in the longer test for human hair that is typical of all robots.

The j7+ comes with a self emptying Clean Base that will automatically transfer dirt from the bin into the dirt bag once it docks. This eliminates the need for manual maintenance and is great for allergy sufferers. The j7+ is compatible with irobot vacuum and mop Braava Jet M Series robot mop using its Imprint Link feature. It will automatically resume mopping after the vacuuming is completed.

3. Roomba i7+

The i7+ is an interesting machine to observe. It follows a pattern similar to how a lawn care professional trims a sports field prior to an event. It will sometimes return to the dock to empty its dust bin or charge its batteries. Self-emptying is a welcome change to the way robot vacuums work and reduces the need for hands-on maintenance.

It also has a good amount of suction power that can pull up dirt and pet hair effortlessly. It can pick up the majority of dirt on high-pile carpets with just one pass. It can also detect areas that are prone to traffic and then spend more time there. This is especially useful for families with children or pets that frequently bring in large quantities of trash from outside.

Another feature that is great is Smart Mapping, which allows the i7+ to learn the layout of your home and create a customizable floor map while it vacuums. After four hours of testing, the i7+ was able to navigate my two-bedroom flat effectively and logically. The app lets you further customize the mapping by adding virtual boundaries or giving the rooms names. You can set the i7+ to clean the area around the cat's litter tray each morning or to stay clear of the sofa in the living room once everyone has gone home.

The i7+ also comes with a sidebrush and a tangle-free spinning squeegee which are ideal for removing any debris that would otherwise fall to the ground. It also comes with an battery that is equipped with Recharge and Resume Technology that lets it pick up where it left off in an earlier cleaning session.

4. Roomba 694

The 694 is an excellent entry-level robot for anyone who wants to make their home cleaner but without the advanced automation features that the higher-end models have. It can recognize your habits in cleaning irobot roomba and recommend cleaning schedules. It also integrates with Google Assistant or Alexa voice assistants, so you can start a cleaning routine simply by giving it a command.

The dual multi-surface brushes clean dirt and grime from hard floors and carpet and edges, while an edge-sweeping tool tackles corners and edges. The battery lasts for 90 minutes and docks back to the Home Base when it runs out.

A large Clean/Power button is in the middle of the top panel, with Spot and Home buttons below and above it. The indicator for the battery level blinks orange when charging and green once the robot is fully charged. The dustbin is inserted at the back and can be released by pressing one button.

The Roomba 694 is fantastic at navigating bare flooring and sucking up large particles like cereal and rice. However, it struggles with smaller particles such as baking soda. It also tends to overflow its dirt container when it fills. It's not as efficient on carpets with low pile however it does score better than other robot vacuums of this price.

It is very effective at cleaning hairs from pets. However, some hair strands could get caught in the side brush. Its poor performance on kitty-litter is also a cause for concern, even though it scored the same as the other robots in this category. It topped our top choice (the Roborock S4 Max) by 19 points. The 694 is more expensive than the RoboVac 30, but it is more durable and requires less maintenance, incurs lower recurring costs, operates much more quickly, moves over obstructions with ease and has superior performance on bare floors and high-pile carpet. It also has a larger dustbin that can be used even without internet access.

5. Eufy 11s

The eufy11s is one of the most affordable robot vacuums on the market and is a good choice if you're looking for a simple and reliable machine. This model is able to remove dust, pet hair and other debris from low-pile and hard floors. It also does a great job of moving around furniture and obstacles. Its slim profile allows it to be easily reached under low-clearance furniture like couches, coffee tables and other objects. It is also among the quietest robot vacuums we have test-driven.

But that's about it This is one of the most pared-back models we've seen, and it lacks certain features that are found on higher-end models. For instance, it doesn't work with an app, so you'll need to physically set the schedule using the remote control. It does not have a battery level or dust bin alert. You'll have to manually empty the dustbin when necessary.

Despite its price it is very well-built and easy to maintain. It also has a long maximum battery life and provides decent performance on flat floors as well as when navigating around obstacles. It was able to traverse low-lying obstacles like electrical cords easily during our tests. However, it experienced difficulty with high-pile rugs.

The eufy is a better option than the ONSON GOOVI, but we recommend a more expensive model if you have the money. The irobot with mop Roomba 694 has a longer battery life, is easier to maintain, and has a lower recurring costs. It also performs better on unfinished floors and in maneuvering around furniture, and has the largest dust bin.
