The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is a great option if you're seeking a robot vacuum and mop that is middle-of-the-road. It provides a fantastic mopping experience, but it lacks the features that make up its more expensive counterpart.

During testing it was able to remove pet hair and dry oats out of carpets with a medium-pile. However, unlike other models, it doesn't utilize LIDAR to help you map your home.

iRobot Roomba s9+

The iRobot Roomba S9+ is one of the most highly-rated robot vacuums. It comes with a variety of features and incredible cleaning power, including an area for dirt that is built into the base of charging. This robot can learn your habits of cleaning, and suggest automatic schedules that will give you an effortless cleaning experience.

The iRobot Home App guides you through the setup process. Once everything is connected, you can start the automatic cleaning functions at the click of a button. You can select an overall clean that focuses on the removal of large debris such as cereal and rice or two thorough maps of your space to ensure your entire home has a clean and tidy appearance.

This vacuum works well on floors that are unfinished and carpets with a low pile. It can take in large objects and does not lose suction as fast as some others do and can pick up pet hair without much difficulty. It's not able to work with high-pile carpets or plush carpets however, iRobot claims that future models will be more efficient.

The S9+ is a new design by iRobot that is focused on enhancing edge and corner cleaning. It's the first Roomba to adopt an open-fronted, flat-fronted design, which will allow it to be able to swaddle furniture and walls. It's an improvement over the hockey puck-shaped robovacs which robot vacuums are the best are standard, but we found it to be just marginally better than circular models.

iRobot also claims that the S9+ comes with an improved filtering system that stops tiny dust particles and allergens from recirculating in your home. It's a nice claim, however, we're not convinced that it's enough to justify the high price price.

Its smart navigation system uses sensors to store the structure of your home, and vSLAM for mapping the interior of your home. It then cleans your entire home with ease by avoiding obstacles such as stairs and other barriers. The iRobot Home App allows you to schedule cleaning times and create virtual boundaries to ensure that the robot is aware of what areas require extra attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

Roborock Q Revo is a robot that is a combination of mopping and vacuuming. Its vac settings are as efficient as those found on higher-end models and its mopping system is superior, as its spinning pads do a much better job of scrubbing your floors than a stationary vibrating pad.

The only issue is the absence of a second brush for more thorough cleaning. However, it's not a major issue for those who want to own one of the best robot and mop vacuum robots available. The robo-vac's tank for dust is larger than many of its rivals and it takes only two or three cycles to fill it up, even at the highest dirt level.

As for the mopping system, I was amazed by its ability to scrub tough dirt off my floors. Its two mopping modes at the lowest that are less abrasive than the high-powered ones, generate very little noise, which allows you to work or even watch TV without distraction. If it comes into contact with an object, such as a wall or furniture piece it gently bumps into it before moving along.

What makes the Q Revo apart is that it's designed to run nearly completely on its own, with no need for user intervention. The robo-vac features a multi-function dock that automatically moves physical garbage into the bin hidden in the background, as well as cleans and drys mop pads and replenishes its clean water tank. The app is adept at alerting you when something needs attention, such as the water tank that is running out of clean or a scheduled cleaning session having been canceled due to a stuffed dust bin.

You can also combine or create actual rooms to personalize the way Q Revo manages your home. This feature is helpful for those who have different flooring in different areas of your house or in the event that you have to regularly get rid of clutter like clothes, toys and books. The robot mop and vacuum combo vacuum was also among the top performers in my tests cleaning up debris from both carpets as well as hardwood floors on the first pass. It can vacuum up even wet spills. I suggest drying them with a towel before sending it in.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni has all of the features you'd expect from a high-end robot vacuum and mop and more. Like the iRobot Roomba S9+, it has an excellent vacuum that has a powerful suction to clean hard and carpet floors, and an omni-rotating mop that scrubs tough stains. It also has an automatic cleaning station that cleans and empty the mop pads, keeping them fresh and ready for reuse. It also features a new sensor system that better recognizes obstacles, giving it the ability to prevent falling over furniture and other objects.

The most significant improvement over the ECOVACS Deebot X1 is that this model has a sleeker, more modern design, thanks to Danish firm Jacob Jensen Design (best robot vacuum for tile floors known for Bang & Olufsen products). The robot is still quite large. It has a height of more than two feet the height and depth and weighs in at least four pounds. However the robot and its base are smaller than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot j7.

This model is also more efficient than the X1 one, because it has faster battery charging and can handle a full cleaning of about 1,500 square feet with just one charge. It also comes with a larger and more robust dustbin that can store more debris. This makes it easier to empty.

The X2 Omni also has a more natural voice assistant as well as an app that is functional even when you're not at home. It also has a smart routing feature that allows it to clean specific rooms or areas of your home instead of following a predetermined path.

The X2 Omni is the top robot at mopping. Its rotating mop pads scrub away tough stains, and its motor creates plenty of downward pressure. Its vacuuming performance is outstanding as well and it increases suction when it detects carpet to ensure it does the job well. It also has a huge battery that can last for weeks between charges, and its mopping mode is as powerful as anything we've seen in the market for a consumer robot.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra robot mop and vacuum is a premium model that has a range of features that aren't typically found on robots of this price. It has the ability to create detailed floor maps, detect various flooring types and is one of the few that can automatically wash and dry its mop pads. These features are nice but they also make the L10s more of a premium category. This could make it more expensive than what homeowners would need.

The L10s Ultra looks like a modern floor cleaning machine. It's slim and tall with a white finish that is complemented by silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine features an enormous bumper that shields the vacuum cleaner and furniture as you move around your home. Sensors are concealed behind the front pane which help the L10s Ultra navigate tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top of the vacuum there is a single button that acts as an on/off switch. By pressing this button, you can activate the vacuum, and pressing it again will turn off the vacuum and send it back to its base station. The control panel has an oblique menu that allows you to select cleaning modes or schedules, as well as preferences. The left and right buttons open the app's settings which allow you to customize how the L10s Ultra interacts with your home.

Similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+ and Roborock Q Revo, the L10s Ultra uses a combination of LIDAR and camera-based navigation technology to map out your home. This creates a precise floor plan that allows the robot vacuum and mop with ease without getting stuck in areas with clutter. The LIDAR also assists the robot vacuum to recognize and avoid obstacles, which is a nice feature for households with pets or children.

The L10s Ultra provides solid vacuuming performance which clears 98.4 percent of the debris from our test on the hard floor and removing all but the most difficult juice stains. Its mops are also quite efficient, removing 98.4 percent of the debris that was found on our wood, tile and carpet tests. However, it wasn't quite as great at tackling sand on the floor or quaker oats on the carpet.
